Shinshintei (森々亭) | Soba Restaurant | Noboribetsu

If you want to enjoy both soba noodles and Japanese garden in Noboribetsu,

how about "Shinshintei"?

The restaurant has table seats and tatami seats like this↓

Look at the menu! They serve soba in cold and hot, as well as onigiri rice balls with uni (sea urchin), tarako (cod roe), and sujiko (salmon roe). Sounds very Hokkaido, doesn't it?

One of the attractions of this restaurant is this beautiful Japanese garden↓ How beautiful it is! Isn't it nice to eat soba noodles while enjoying the Japanese garden???

This is cold soba with grated yam↓

This is what I ordered, cold soba with sea urchin.

Look at the sea urchin caught in this area!!! It's shinny!!!

The soba is made with local back wheat and local spring water from Lake Kuttara. Sounds very delicious, doesn't it??

Do you want to have a bite of it??
(Sure!!!)

This is "shinshin soba", hot soba with sliced very thick siitake mushroom and scallop, both of which are local products.
You might think this scallop is the attraction, but actually this siitake IS more attraction! It tastes like grilled ones with butter! But of course it ISN'T grilled with butter.  We enjoyed the naturally rich taste!
