Mingei Goten (民芸御殿)/Sunflower Field|Lake Toya Area

I came to Lake Toya (洞爺湖) with my tour guests. How peaceful it is!

Look at the sunflower field, just in front of the lake! Wow! Wow! Wow! We were so excited to see the beautiful lake and the pretty field at the same time!!!

We parked a car, and enjoyed taking pics of the field for a while.
Using a parking lot, we dropped by this souvenir shop, "Mingei Goten (民芸御殿)".

Ainu crafts are sold in this shop.
We actually planed to eat lunch in another restaurant, but as we were hungry, we decided to have lunch here, too. Hahaha!

How do you like seafood BBQ? Are you envy me?

This is Ishikari Nabe (石狩鍋), a salmon and vegetable stew with miso, which is a typical local dish. Yummy x 2!!

Don't miss local scallops!!! My guests and I enjoyed local products from the bottom of our heart!!

After having lunch, we again enjoyed the beautiful field..........

We really love summer!!!

Isseki Nicho (手作り いっせきにちょう)| Hakodate Morning Market (函館朝市)

I'm in Hakodate Morning Market (函館朝市)↓

This time we went to "Isseki Nicho (手作り いっせきにちょう)" in order to eat fresh seafood.

Look at the fresh scallops!

We can eat it raw or baked!!

One of my favorites is sea urchins!!

The owner breaks the shell on the spot. Wow! Wow! Wow!

How fresh they are!!! They taste very dense and rich!!!

How about oysters? Yummy x 2!!!

I also recommend whelks (つぶ) and Sakhalin surf clams (ホッキ), which are local shellfish! I love them!!!

Don't forget the local squids caught this morning!!

This seafood stand is in front of the famous squid fishing pond (活いか釣堀).

If you're interested in the general information on Hakodate Morning Market, please refer to my other post→

Furano Cheese Factory (富良野チーズ工房)| Furano

Furano Cheese Factory (富良野チーズ工房) is famous for delicious cheese, of course, but I also recommend ice cream made from fresh milk, and pizza with their cheese!

Look at this comfortable atmosphere! The facility is sounded with the nature!

We just relaxed for a while, taking pictures and walking around this compound!

Let's enter the building!
Visitors can learn how to make cheese on the 1st floor.

As we looked at the cheese-making process, we got very hungry suddenly, and dashed to the second floor! Hahaha!

Before shopping, we fully enjoyed tasting their cheese!

Three kinds of cheese were served; "Wine Cheddar" (made of Furano wine and fresh milk),  very milky " Maison de Pierre",  and .............

"Sepia" made of fresh milk and squid ink. Personally "Sepia" is my favorite, tasting very Hokkaido!

Don't forget to take pictures with this cow!

Would you like to eat pizza with Furano cheese?
If so, I recommend a pizza restaurant next to Furano Cheese Factory.

They mainly use local ingredients and

baked pizzas in the stone oven! Yummy x 2!!

Actually Furano Cheese Factory reminds a lot of local people of their gelato!

There's a long line in front of the ice cream parlor all the time!

Which should I eat today??

They serve several kinds of flavors, all of which are made of local ingredients.

As I wanted to eat three flavors, but they don't serve triples, I ordered a double and a single gelato! Hahaha!
These are cheese and asparagus! Yummy x 2! You cannot miss cheese flavor because this parlar is in the"cheese" factory. I also recommend vegetable gelato such as corn, pumpkin, and asparagus because Furano produces delicious vegetables!!

"White" tastes very milk! I should have ordered Furano melon flavor, too? Hahaha!

How do you like pumpkin ice milk?

I also recommend grape ice milk (ふらのぶどう果汁), made of local milk and local grape.

We fully enjoyed this facility!

Tomita Melon House (とみたメロンハウス)| Melon Shop | Furano

Furano is famous for its lavenders, especially in "FARM TOMITA (ファーム富田)". Actually next to the famous flower park, there is a very attractive shop!
Do you like melons? If so, let's go to  "Tomita Melon House (とみたメロンハウス)"↓ Furano Melons are sweeter but cheaper than Yubari Melons!

They sell fresh melons produced in this town.

Wow! Wow! Wow! They look very attractive, don't they? I want to eat them up! Hahaha!

I want to eat them up! Hahaha!

Yummy x 2!!!

I really recommend other sweets such as melon & milk ice cream with diced melon, milk ice cream with melon jam, and melon shake!

Except melon and milk ice cream, they serve Hokkaido strawberry ice cream↓

How about melon buns (こだわりメロンパン)?

They sell only 3,500 buns a day! Luckily we could bought it!

Hot! Hot! Hot! It was right from the oven!

Voila!
We really enjoyed this super delicious melon buns!

I also recommend their "melon omelet (メロンオムレツ)"↓

The fresh melon and melon cream are super yummy x 2!! Of course it is a home-made dessert!

Are you thirsty? If so, how about melon smoothie (メロンスムージー)?

After getting an order, they start to make smoothie.

It's a little bit sweet, but please try the seasonable drink!

When you come to FARM TOMITA, a famous lavender farm, why don't you drop by this melon paradise, too?
