Soba Jun (そば順)| Soba Restaurant | Date

There are a lot of delicious soba restaurants in Hokkaido, but how about "Soba Jun (そば順)" in Date city in Lake Toya area?

This restaurant is so popular that the president of Singapore has visited here! Actually I've known this restaurant since I was eight years old! I'm sure I'm one of the longest and biggest fans of this restaurant in the world! Hahaha!

Except seats at the bar, there are tatami rooms with low tables like this↓, and

tatami rooms with normal tables like this↓ Since I was with guests from Singapore, I booked this room!

Look at the Japanese garden! Time tickled by very slowly here!

Voila!
We ordered a soba and tempura bowl set!

I love their prawn tempura, but really recommend their octopus tempura! When you come here, please try it!!

Of course, their soba is perfect! I really recommend cold soba so that you can enjoy its distinctive soba aroma!

Yumoto Meisuitei (湯元 名水亭)| Hot Spring Hotel | Kitayuzawa

Kitayuzawa is one of the famous hot spring areas in the southern part of Hokkaido. Today, we went to "Yumoto Meisuitei (湯元 名水亭)" to enjoy HUGE hot spring!

I love this stone garden♪ Great, isn't it? Let's enter the facility!

The vase is decorated on the stage at the lobby! My guests were so excited to take several pics!

We've also found samurai worriers' armors, helmets and cago carriers at the lobby! Wow! Wow! Wow!

We wish we could wear it............ Hahaha!

First, we enjoyed lunch at a Japanese room↓

Kimono is used as a partition like this↓

Japanese calligraphy and a beautiful vase are decorated at an alcove! How elegant this room is!

Look at the ceiling! We really enjoyed Japanese atmosphere!

Today's lunch was this lunchbox including kokanee salmon sashimi that I really love! Yummy x 2!!!

We also enjoyed Jingisukan or lamb BBQ! Hokkaido remind us of this local dish!!!

After lunch, we enjoyed HUGE hot spring!!! Look at this↓ 1,100L hot spring water is being gushed up from the ground per min.! Unbelievable!!!

How about this HUGE outdoor hot spring!!! Do you have any idea how spacious this outdoor hot spring is??

The answer is about 500 ㎡!!!! It's like a park!!! Wonderful!!!

After taking hot spring, we walked around the hotel.
Osaru river (長流川) is in front of the hotel and we walked down to its riverside.

This river is famous for its riverbed!

Look at this! We really appreciated the green tuff! How beautiful it is!!!

Don't forget a foot bath!

This is also in front of the hotel!

We were so impressed with this abundant hot spring!!!

Wow! It's very looooooooooooooooooooooong!!! How many people can enjoy this foot bath at the same time??? Hahaha!!!

The water is transparent, not too hot nor too cold!

We really enjoyed this naturally alkali hot spring!
(*This facility is also famous for crab buffet.)

Mushroom Kingdom (きのこ王国)| Mushroom Shop & Restaurant | Ootaki (Date)

Ootaki in Date city is a mountainous area and famous for mushrooms. "Kinoko Oukoku or Mushroom Kingdom" is on Route 276 between Lake Shikotu and Lake Toya, and we often visit here for a break. The shop has a lot kinds of mushrooms and we are always excited!

Look at the wall of the shop! Bears are welcoming the guests!!!

Let's enter it!

You can eat a lot of kinds of mushroom dishes including udon, buckwheat noodles, curry, ramen, mushroom bowl and so on.

I ordered mushroom tempura! I love maitake mushroom especially! Yummy x 2!!!

This is the most popular dish here in the restaurant.
The mushroom soup is only 100 yen! Unbelievable!!!

After eating the dishes, we enjoyed trying food samples in the shop. You can taste almost all items before buying them! I love these soy-source-flavored mushrooms↓

Wow! Great shiitake mushrooms!!

We've found the fresh ones, too! These nameko mushrooms are very big! We cannot buy such bulky nameko at supermarkets nearby in a city!!!

The shiitake mushrooms are very thick! Look very delicious!!!

Last but not least, we enjoyed this mushroom soup whose ingredients are three kinds of mushrooms; matsutake, maitake, and shiitake mushrooms.

It is very easy to make it. Put a spoonful of soup powder in a cup and pour hot water. That's it! You can use it as a condiment for Japanese dishes. Of course I bought it!

We really enjoyed mushrooms here!!!
*You can use bathrooms here 24/ 7! Please drop by the facility when you feel tired driving!!!
