The 5th Winter Food Stall Village in Ishikari (第5回寒中石狩屋台村)| Ishikari

A lot of festivals and events are held during the winter time in Hokkaido, from the big and famous ones such as the Sapporo Snow Festival (please refer to my post→click here!) to small ones such as the Winter Food Stall Village in Ishikari (寒中石狩屋台村)that I'll feature in this post♪

Ishikari located next to Sapporo is a coastal city and blessed with a lot of agricultural products from the land and seafood from the ocean. This festival offers us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy both of them at the same place!

Look at the venue↓
We enjoyed several attractions such as small snow statues made by the local citizens ↓

and tube sleighing on the snow slide↓

Are you interested in the local food?
A lot of the local ingredients can be enjoyed at reasonable prices here.

First, we dropped by this stall.

Look at the Ishikari burger, whose ingredients are produced locally, such as Mourai pork, a brand pork in Ishikari, beef & tomato produced in Hokkaido, octopus caught off Ishikari, and flour produced in Ishikari.

The package is very cute, isn't it?

Voila!
This is the very local burger!!!

I guess this octopus works as a wonderful accent in the burger!

Next, we visited this stall.

Ishikari is also famous for its beef and we ordered beef bowl!

This steak is very huge, isn't it?

Wow! Wow! Wow! It is only 700 yen!

Actually I love bloody rare like this↓

After enjoying meat fully, we went to another stall to enjoy seafood.

Ishikari is so famous for salmon that salmon soup is called Ishikari soup in Japan.
I bought deep-fried salmon this time↓

Hot! Hot! Hot!

When you come to Ishikari, I recommend you to eat its salmon!

Look at the long cue!!!

This delicious sandfish soup is only 100 yen!

It has a lot of roe and yummy x 2!
The sandfish is also one of the popular fish caught off Ishikari.

We really enjoyed the local vegetables and fish from the heart!

Except food stalls, we can enjoy other events such as fireworks displays, salmon sashimi shows, bobsleding, and ice cream making experience this weekend↓

I love local festivals like this♪
