Flower Land Kamifurano （フラワーランドかみふらの）| Flower Field | Kamifurano

If you'd like to enjoy peaceful flower fields without a lot of visitors in Furano area, I recommend "Flower Land Kamifurano （フラワーランドかみふらの）".

One of the characteristics of this farm is to provide several "experience" programs for the visitors; craft-making experiences, flower experiences, farming experiences, and vehicle experiences.

We joined the "pillow-making" experience （安眠わたまくら体験）". This is how to make a lavender pillow. 

First, place lavender potpourri on some cotton. 

Then spread it, and roll it! That's it!! Hahaha! Very simple, isn't it?

Lavenders are believed to induce sound sleep! Perfect!!

How about the tourist tractor bus going around the park?

Let's go!

Fist, we enjoyed Oriental Poppies.

And then colorful Dahlias!!

How about Zinnias?

How beautiful they are!

It takes 10 minutes to go around the park by tractor.

The facility also has lavender fields and

Blue Sapphire fields!! The kinds of flowers are really depending on the season.

Last, but not least, we enjoyed Furano melons!

We really love this 150,000 ㎡ flower park!

FARM TOMITA （ファーム富田） in Early June | Lavender Farm | Naka-Furano

Farm Tomita is one of Hokkaido’s premier flower farms. Originally a simple lavender farm, today the farm has expanded to include a number of large fields of various flower types, including Poppies, French Marigolds, and many more.

The most famous image of the farm is that of the ‘rainbow field’ created by planting rows of different flowers along the gentle rolling hills. The image is unforgettable and each year visitors come to photograph the fields made famous by their use in a nation wide Japan Rail calendar.

Today I show you the flower field in early June!
This is a ‘rainbow field’ in early June, consisting of three colors of Viola tricolors (violets)↓

 Beautiful, aren't they?

Farm Tomita has a green house, which offers guests blossoming flowers including lavenders throughout the year.

They are in full bloom outside in July!

Look at the Iceland poppies! How cute they are!

How about Oriental poppies? I think they are No. 1 photogenic in this season.

Oxeye daisies are a kind of chrysanthemum! I didn't know that!

Ajyuga is a kind of herb! 

Chives look like leeks!

We cannot see lavenders outside, but we can enjoy snow-capped mountains and flowers at the same time in this season!

Farm Kanno （かんのファーム）| Flower Garden | Biei

Farm Kanno is located about 2km away from JR Bibaushi station, and totally 100 kinds of flowers can be seen in the hilly farm during the flower season.
It's like a HUGE flower rainbow on the ground!!

We enjoyed the perfect weather and perfect farm :-)

Lavenders can be seen form July until the early August and other flowers from the mid-June until October, depending on the year, of course.
You can enjoy the surrounding scenic beauty such as the Tokachi Mountain Range from this farm! Beautiful, isn't it???

It is packed with comfortable lavender fragrance!! I was so HAPPY with my tour guests from Germany!!

A lot of people took pics with the beautiful lavenders like this↓

How about red salvia??? We enjoyed the contrast of red, white, yellow, and blue flowers here.

I love this atmosphere! There's nothing but the flowers and hill!!!

You can see herbs like lemon balms like this↓

This colorful flower farm is on Route 237 and you cannot miss it! If you drive from Asahikawa area to Biei, you can find this farm first along this road.

It has no opening or closing hours. It is free to walk in and around the farm at any time.　

Look at the Bassia scoparia!! I love it! SOOOO CUTE!　The plants are like anime characters :-)

Blue salvia is also beautiful and wonderful! I love their flower selection!

The farm has several different flower fields like this↓

First, we visited "HANABITO field" near the parking lot. 

Wow wow wow! We were so impressed with the beautiful flowers!!!

It's like a rainbow carpet!

I hope the mid-July is the best season to see the flowers in this field! It was a rainy day yesterday, but we really enjoyed the garden!!!

The field now includes the lobelia, agereatum, soaproot, poppy, periwinkle and so on.

Next, we went to the different field called "IRODORI filed" in the same compound.

You can enjoy the towns-cape from the higher ground! I guess this field will be the best in the late-July to early- August! 

How romantic it is! I like this color combination!

Then we returned to the main area in FARM TOMITA.

This is "SAKIWAI field" filled with lavenders!

The huge field are now very purple!!! A lot of people took pis in front of this main field!

We also  went to "Autumn Field"

In order to see the whole pic of the field, we moved to the cafe located on the higher ground, and saw the field from the observatory.

It is "Autumn" Field, but it is beautiful in "July", too! Very funny :-)

Finally, we went to the "Traditional Lavender Field" on the higher ground. Smells very lavenders!!!

After enjoying the flowers, we went to "Proche House" to buy lavender goods.

They have lavender soap, shampoo, oil and so on.
As they have wide variety of lavender goods, we spent here for 20 mins or so in the shop♪

Then we learned how to make lavender oil at "Distillery Workshop".

You can buy lavender oil and distilled water here! 

Last, but not least, we dropped into the ice cream stand.

You can enjoy lavender flavor (including lavender essence), vanilla (including Hokkaido fresh cream) and melon flavor (including Hokkaido melon juice) in this farm. 

This is a lavender & vanilla soft ice cream! The vanilla is very milky!!! 

This is lavender & melon soft ice cream! Both of them are very delicious and recommendable!!

How about Furano melon? It's super yummy x 2!!

The farm serve other delicious desserts such as lavender cake, lavender cream puff, lavender jelly, lavender pudding, melon buns and so on.

In the late May to late August, you can enjoy the different flower combinations depending on the season! Why don't you enjoy the beautiful flower garden in Furano!
