Kani Goten (かに御殿)| Fish Market & Seafood Restaurant | Shiraoi

Shiraoi is located along the Pacific Ocean and blessed with delicious seafood. If you want to enjoy a fish market and a seafood restaurant at the same place, how about "Kani Goten (かに御殿)"?
The shop is on Route 36 and we cannot miss this 15-m long beer object on the roof! Hahaha!

The building has two areas; a seafood market on the left and a seafood restaurant on the right.
Look at the large space! We can enjoy local fresh seafood such as crabs, salmon, scallop, abalone and cod roe......

The restaurant serves about 70 kinds of dishes such as sushi, sashimi, ramen, tempura, seafood bowls and so on........

Let's enter it!
This is so huge restaurant that they can accommodate more than 1,000 people here. The space on the 1st floor is for individual customers and the 2nd floor is for group tours.

I ordered a sea urchin set↓

The set includes a small dish of seaweed

and a miso soup.

Look at the main dish; huge amount of sea urchin in egg soup!

Actually I really love fresh sea urchin!

I put a lot of sea urchin on hot rice and ate it! Yummy x 2!!

Of course my guests enjoyed seafood here very much, too.
This is a salmon row bowl↓ They also serve small seafood bowls so that we can enjoy several kinds of dishes for lunch!

If you like crab, how about this scab rice?

Do you like both ramen and sushi? In that case, I recommend a ramen & sushi set.

You can enjoy your favorite items at the same time!

Would you like to take out sushi? They serve sushi lunch boxes↓

We really enjoyed freash seafood here in Shiraoi!

Kani Taro (かに太郎)| Crab Restaurant | Shiraoi

Shiraoi is along the Pacific ocean, and famous for seafood such as cod roe and crab, Shiraoi beef, and vegetables. Today I'll show you a super-cost-performance crab restaurant, "Kani Taro".

The shape of the restaurant is very unique like this. You cannot miss it! Hahaha!

The inside of the building is a little bit old-fashioned (I'm sorry...........), but

Look at the price list! I cannot believe crab rice with miso soup is only 500 yen!!!! Wow! Wow! Wow! I love this restaurant!!!

Viola!!!
This is a crab rice set!

The crab rice is topped with seasoned vegetables, sliced fried egg and red ginger.

That means under the toppings......................................
a lot of crab meat is on the rice!!!

Very tasty & fresh crab meat is on the rice!!!!!

I'm sure if you eat the same quality of crab rice in Sapporo, you will pay 1,500 yen for it!

Thank you very much, the restaurant owner!!! He has never raised the price since he opened this restaurant! How wonderful!
*If you want to eat a  crab set at the price of 3,000 yen, please make a reservation in advance!

You can enjoy the beautiful ocean just behind the restaurant!

Cherry Blossoms@Okhotsk Forest Park & Fried rice with Crab Meat@Mary-san-no-Ki in Monbetsu

When I come to Monbetsu for business, I usually stay at Monbetsu Central Hotel, which has many unique services such as free-rental-bicycle service! I've decided to go to my favorite cafe by bicycle this time!

First, I went along the coastal line, feeling the sea breeze!!!

Monbetsu is famous for seafood such as crab! That's why there are a lot of crab restaurants in this city.

Go up to a long uphill near the hotel, and you will find "Okhotsk Forest Park" on the way to the cafe.

Cherry blossoms here were in full bloom at the end of May, which is about 2 month later than the flower season in Tokyo.! See!! They are very beautiful!!

Go up to the same street further, you will find a tower at the top of Mt. Daisen! From the observatory, you will see a beautiful landscape of Monbetsu city!

Turn right when you find the Okhotsk Sky Tower and go straight! You will find this restaurant, "Mary-san-no-Ki" on your left.

This restaurant is very famous among local people here. Fried rice with a loooooooooooooooooot of crab meat is No.1 popular item on the menu.! Of course I ordered it!

First, they served salad and soup.

Here comes the fried rice. Look at the crab meat! They use local crab. I'm soooooooooooo happy to be here!

First bite!

Second bite!

Third bite!

See!!! There are a lot of crab meat! If you pay additional 300 yen, you will have a bigger portion of fried rice with crab!

I really recommend this crab rice!
