Stew Restaurant Pot-au-feu (シチュー屋さん ポトフ)| Sapporo

If you ask me which stew restaurant is the best in Sapporo...............
A. I love "Stew Restaurant Pot-au-feu (シチュー屋さん ポトフ)" the best!!!

The seats are all taken usually during the lunch hours.
Yes! The restaurant is very popular!!

Let's wait for a while.......

This is the menu↓
(I've already decided today's stew before coming here.... Hahaha!)

All stew comes with salad,

bread or rice, and

a drink.

Voila!
This is beef stew!!!
They simmer stew for eight hours, and the demi-glace sauce is super delicious!!

You don't need a knife to cut the very tender beef!!!

This is my favorite stew in this restaurant!!
"Americaine stew (アメリケーヌシチュー)" contains delicious prawn juice, and yummy x 2 in my tummy!!!

Look at the prawn,

scallops, cod,

whelks, and asari clams!!! All of the ingredients are from Hokkaido!!! How wonderful it is!!

Last but not least we enjoyed cake and ice cream.

I really recommend this stew restaurant, but they are always crowded. Be careful!!

Hitsujiya (ひつじ八)| Cafe/ Restaurant | Kuriyama (栗山)

We enjoyed a short trip to Kuriyama on the weekend, and visited "Hitsujiya (ひつじ八)", my favorite cafe

This cafe is in "Kurimanjyu Mitsuwa (栗まんじゅう 美津和)", a famous Japanese sweets shop in this town.

Let's enter it!

They serve a lot of delicious meals, but we first chose our favorite one.

This is "Cutsu spa (カツスパ)". Cutsu stands for breaded pork "cut"let. Yummy x 2!!

It comes with salad and

consommeclear soup.

Under the cutlet, Voila!
Spa stands for "spa"ghetti. Isn't it wonderful that cutlets and spaghetti can be eaten at the same time????

We ordered one more dish for lunch from this page.

This is "Bacon Omelet Hamburg (ベーオム)”↓ , which comes with soup and salad.

 I ordered pumpkin soup. Yummy x 2!!!

Look at the inside of the omelet! I love this bacon rice!!

As I don't drink coffee, I enjoyed grapefruit juice after lunch.

As I said, this cafe is in "Kurimanjyu Mitsuwa (栗まんじゅう 美津和)", a famous Japanese sweets shop in this town, we cannot leave here without ordering Japanese sweets.

This is "Azuki beans and chestnuts desserts (栗ぜんざい)"↓
The bean jam is perfectly delicious!!

This is "Hitujiya parfait (ひつじ八パフェ)"↓

Look at the rice-flour dumplings in the azuki bean jam!!!

Macha or green tea ice cream is under the fresh cream. I really recommend this Japanese parfait!

We had a wonderful time in Kuriyama!

Sekisuitei (登別温泉 登別石水亭)| Hot Spring Hotel | Noboribitsu (登別)

Noboribetsu is one of the most famous hot spring resorts in Japan! The city has famous tourist destinations such as Hell Valley (地獄谷)↓

Yes! You can go to the Hell before you die! Hahaha!
After enjoying the Hell Valley and Tessen Pond (鉄泉池), we went to "Sekisuitei (登別温泉 登別石水亭)" to enjoy meals and hot spring!
(If you are interested in the Hell Valley and the Tessen Pond, please refer to my other post→

This is "Sekisuitei (登別温泉 登別石水亭)", five minutes away from the Hell Valley by car.

We enjoyed a Japanese tatami room, and

the view from the room first.
I love the calm atmosphere here.Time passes very slowly........

You can choose buffet or a set menu for dinner, and we chose the set↓
If you want to experience Japanese meals, I recommend it to you↓
(* The dishes are a part of our course......)

This is a buffet venue for breakfast!

This is a typical buffet, but there are something special here. For example, I recommend this onigiri or rice ball corner. I love freshly-made onigiri!

This is something "unique". I don't know why we can eat it in Noboribetsu, but we can enjoy chizimi (찌짐) or Korean pancake here! Hahaha!

These are my plates.
I recommend mushroom curry. Mushrooms are famous in this area.

Last but not least, I'll show you the hot spring!!!!!

First please enjoy a huge and loooooooooong indoor hot spring to warm your body. And then.......
Come to this outdoor hot spring area!!! I really love outdoor hot spring in the winter time!!

There are three type of outdoor hot spring; these two small ones for, I think, one or two persons, and

a big one like this↓
(* This is not huge, but big enough for several people.....)

The water is perfect! No, no, no! More than perfect!!!

The whitish water is blessed with sulfur, making your skin younger and more smooth!!
Actually I took hot spring four times during our stay, and my guests also loved this hot spring!

We enjoyed the snow world while taking hot spring..........

Snow Mobile Land Sapporo (スノーモビルランドサッポロ)

Skiing and snow boarding are very fun, but how about snowmobiles?
We are now in "Snow Mobile Land Sapporo (スノーモビルランドサッポロ)", 30 minutes from downtown Sapporo.

You can borrow all winter gears including a helmet, gloves, a coat, and boots at the facility.
Well, well, well, let's go!

Is it difficult to ride a snow mobile? No, no, no! If you can ride a bicycle, no problems. How exciting to drive a mobile in the snow world like this↓

If you are a beginner, instructors can help you very kindly.

Isn't it wonderful to take pics behind the heart object?

I really enjoyed the sun setting to the snow-covered trees on the way back to the starting point.

Sapporo Kokusai Skiing Resort (札幌国際スキー場)

I came to "Sapporo Kokusai Skiing Resort (札幌国際スキー場)" with my tour guests. It takes only 30 minutes from downtown Sapporo. Not bad, isn't it?

"Ding dong ding dong!"
Oh, oh, oh! My guests are excited to ring the bell!! How cute they are!! I love them!

We are now at the summit!

This skiing resort is loved by local people, because everybody from beginners and advanced skiers can enjoy several slopes here, and the location is perfect.
There are Jyozankei hot spring resort near the skiing resort, and usually local people like me take hot spring there after snowboarding or skiing.

Look at the Japanese igloo located neat the summit cafe↓
(Actually it is the first time for me to find this even though I've been here many time.......↓)

Wow! Wow! Wow!
There is a shrine inside of the snow house!!!

I love Niseko the best to snowboard, but also love this local ski resort!
