Oronkoiwa Rock （オロンコ岩）| Sunset | Utoro (Shiretoko)

If you stay at a hotel along the ocean in Utori, I recommend to go to Oronkoiwa Rock （オロンコ岩） in order to see the beautiful sunset.

A site in front of the cruiser landing place is one of the best spots to see the sunset around here.

Look at the rock and the birds!! Oronkoiwa Rock is home to a lot of slaty-backed gulls. We were able to enjoy the wonderful nature in the world natural heritage site!!!

Here comes the sunset show!!!

It's beautiful, isn't it? There are no city noise around here! We feel the natural sounds only!

The ocean is getting red as the sun is setting.

Although the cloud blocked the horizon,

I was so happy to share the wonderful natural phenomenon with my tour guests!!

When you come to Utoro, you should absolutely enjoy this great sunset!!

VERY VERY STRAWBERRY （ベリーベリーストロベリー）| Italian Cafe Restaurant | Otaru

Would you like to take a rest in downtown Otaru, eating delicious desserts? If so, how about "VERY VERY STRAWBERRY （ベリーベリーストロベリー）"?

This is an Italian cafe restaurant.

They serve delicious pasta and pie, but I personally recommend their yummy desserts.

I ordered a "strawberry & pudding parfait" named "Very Very Strawberry", the most popular dessert in this cafe restaurant. You must be surprised at the size! This is for four to five persons, but I ate it alone! Hahaha!

Voila!
This is "Very Very Strawberry", a huge gelato & pudding tower!!!

This home-made raspberry gelato is sour and sweet!! Yummy x 2!!!

The vanilla gelato is very milky, and the pie is so flaky! I love this gelato mille-feuille tower!!!

Look at the a lot of strawberries and raspberries!! Perfect!

Without this delicious pudding, I wouldn't recommend this dessert! This pudding is very rich and mild!!!

KONBUKAN （北海道昆布館） | Kelp Shop & Museum | Nanae

Konbu or kelp seaweed is a healthy and popular cooking ingredient in Japan. If you want to soak up the atmosphere of kelp, I recommend "KONBUKAN （北海道昆布館）" located near Onuma Quasi-national Park near Hakodate.

The facility has a huge planetarium-like movie theater, and visitors can learn why kelp produced in this town is very delicious. The admission is free!! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Next to the theater, there is a kelp museum, which is also free!!

Actually we intended to stay here for a short time to get fresh air on the way back to Sapporo, but we were so excited about the whole facility and stayed here for about one hour! Hahaha!

Let's go to a huge kelp shop section, selling almost all kelp products such as kelp powder, kelp candies, kelp snacks, kelp soup, and kelp condiments! Please enjoy free kelp tea service when you come here!!

We can also observe how to make shaved kelp at the same facility.

It is a little bit salty and (surprisingly) delicious!!!

Natural Wine Table Organic + （オーガニックプラス） | Vegetarian/ Vegan Restaurant | Sapporo

It is difficult to find nice vegetarian/ vegan restaurants in Japan, but I've found a wonderful one in Sapporo today!
This is "Natural Wine Table Organic + （オーガニックプラス）", located near Susukino, Sapporo.

I love this cozy atmosphere! Although they serve alcohols (mainly organic wine), some are enjoying healthy dishes with their kids.

Other than their regular menu, they serve several today's specials like this↓ Perfect!!
Today we ordered vegan dishes only! Are you interested what we ate? Here we go!!!

When you come here, I recommend you to order their bread first! All of them are home-made yeast bread. We ordered...........
☺focaccia,
☺bread with corn and Gueranede salt, and
☺cinnamon bread with dried apple and walnuts.
Their bread is so delicious that we could empty a bottle of wine! Hahaha!

Please dip it in the organic olive oil!

■Caprese salad with molted rice tofu and tomato 
Koji, or moted rice is a popular traditional condiment. Yummy x 2!!

■Grilled avocado
Warm and fluffy avocado goes well with this special miso sauce! I really recommend it!!

■Fried chicken like Deep-fried soy beans
We thought it was fried chicken when we ate it, but actually it is minced soy beans! Wow! Wow! Wow!!

■Fish and chips like Deep-fried millet
This is a magic dish!! Tastes really fish, but actually it is millet!!! The tartar sauce is made of soy milk and vegetables. How do they cook it? I want their recipe!!!

They serve several organic alcohols such as organic beer and wine!!

■Meat loaf like Grilled millet
Again, millet tastes like meat!! How???? Why???? It is very delicious!

I really enjoyed vegan dishes today!!

"Yukijirushi/ Snowbrand Parlor （雪印パーラー）" is one of the leading ice cream/ parfait parlors in Sapporo↓

"Yukijirushi/ Snowbrand Parlor （雪印パーラー）" reminds local people of big parfait such as "Dream Jumbo Parfait （ドリームジャンボパフェ）"(12,600 yen)↓ How huge it is!!!

How about "Ice Cream Tower （アイスクリームタワー）"(80,000 yen)?  I have long had a dream to eat it up some day!!! Hahaha!

When you come here, please order "Snow Royal Spacial （スノーロイヤルスペシャル）"↓
This parlor presented it to the Emperor! Wow! Its milk fat content is 16%!! How rich it is!!!

I also recommend their parfait! This is "Berry Mix （ベリーミックス）"↓ Its fresh milk tastes very milk and smooth! It is not too sweet and easy to eat it up!

They usually serve about 30 kinds of parfait, and I'm sure you can find your favorite! I ordered this seasonal special （季節限定パフェ）↓ The fresh strawberries and tasty ice cream are the best combination! The fresh milk is not too sweet and mild!!! Yummy x 2!! Perfect!!

Dining Natoriya （食事処名取屋） | Kuriyama

Kuriyama （栗山） is one hour away from Sapporo, and has a lot of attractions. Today I'll show you a popular dining among local people in this small town.
This is "Dining Natoriya （食事処名取屋）"↓

They serve dishes everybody loves, such as.........................

curry and rice, ramen, and tempra bowl, but the most popular set in this restaurant is...................

"horumon soup set （ホルモン鍋定食）"↓　Horumon means guts in Japanese. Are you interested in this dish? I'll open the lid!

Voila!
The horumon miso soup has a lot of tofu and sliced leek. How healthy it is!

Under the thinly sliced tofu,

there are a lot of tender pork horumon! Yummy x 2!!!
