Sukiyaki Sanyoshiya (すき焼き三光舎)| Sukiyaki Restaurant | Asahikawa

Today I'll show you "Sukiyaki Sanyoshiya (すき焼き三光舎)", a long-standing sukiyaki restaurant founded in 1917 in Asahikawa.

They use high-quality beef for sukiyaki like↓ It is expensive at night, but we can enjoy it at reasonable prices during the lunch hours!

I chose a Japanese room. How lovely it is!

As I love beef, I ordered the most expensive set! Hahaha!

Matuzakaushi (松坂牛) is the king of beef in the world, isn't it? I love it!

Voila!
Here comes "Spacial beef sukiyaki set (スペシャル牛すき焼き定食)"↓ Yummy x 2!!

Look at the wonderful marbled beef!!! Super-great!

You must envy me! Hahaha!

The clerk here cooked it for me. She is very friendly and polite, and we had a wonderful time!!

Wow! Wow! Wow!
I didn't have to bite it! It was melted immediately I put it in my mouth! It was unbelievably delicious♪

The vegetables absorbed the delicious beef juice!!

Last but not least, I put kishimen noodles into the pan so that the noodles could soak up the delicious essence of beef and vegetables!!!

We were so happy to eat such  a delicious sukiyaki today!

Just for reference, they serve a reasonable sukiyaki set (1,200 yen ~)↓

and a pork sukiyaki set (1,100 yen), too↓

Sakuranboyama Tourist Orchard(さくらんぼ山観光農園)| Cherry Orchard | Niki

We went to "Sakuranboyama Tourist Orchard(さくらんぼ山観光農園)", a tourist cherry orchard located in Niki (仁木) near Otaru (小樽) the other day↓

This big cherry object in front of the main office welcomes you!

It takes only a few minutes from the parking lot to the orchard!!

Look at the cherries! There are about 5,000 cherry trees in the 20ha orchard! Niki (仁木) is a fruit town!

First, the staff teach us how to find and pick delicious cherries!

There's no time limit! We can eat cherries as much as possible!

Using ladders, we picked and ate a lot of cherries! Hahaha!

They taught us how to find great trees, too! How kind they are!

The orchard is 114m above sea level, and we can enjoyed the beautiful view from the hill! Let's go to the top of the orchard!

How wonderful it is!

We enjoyed three kinds of cherries; Kitaou (北王), Satonishiki (佐藤錦), and Suimon (水門). Each of them have the different taste, and we've never got tired of eating cherries!!
*The kinds of cherries are depending on the season.

Look at the attractive object!

Of course, we enjoyed cherry ice cream, too!

Additional 100g cherries come with the activities! Perfect!

I'll be back next year!!

This is the price list! 1,050 yen/ adult and 840 yen/ kid are very reasonable!!

Gousetsu Udon (豪雪うどん)| Potato Udon Noodles | Kucchan (倶知安)

Udon noodles are usually made of flour, but "Gousetsu Udon noodles (豪雪うどん)" are made of Irish Cobbler potato (男爵いも). Are you interested in the special noodles? Let's go to "Restaurant Baron (レストランバロン)" in Kucchan near Niseko!

Although I came here before their restaurant hours, they kindly served udon for me!! Thank you, the owner!!! It takes 10 minutes from JR Kucchan station to this restaurant!

These are the special potato noodles!

As I was very hungry, I ordered "Stamina Udon (スタミナうどん)", which has a lot of toppings!

Voila!!!
This is my favorite!

Toppings include prawn tempura, basil tempura, wakame seaweed, nameko mushrooms, kimchi, grated Japanese yam, egg, and so on! Perfect!!

The broth is non-fatty and clear like this! Of course, I drank it up! Hahaha!

Look at the potato noodles. They are translucent! I love the elastic and chewy noodles! Yummy x 2!!!

How huge the prawn tempura is!

On the 1st floor of Hotel Daiichi Kaikan (ホテル第一会館), we can buy a set of the noodles and soup. These are good for souvenirs!!

TARCHE Sushi Corner (タルシェ 寿司コーナー)| Sushi Bar | Otaru Station

Today I came to Otaru with my tour guests. After eating lunch, I became hungry again, and went to JR Otaru station. Why? Because it has a very attractive mart named "TARCHE (タルシェ)"!

They have a wide variety of local products. Sounds great, doesn't it?
The mart also has a sushi bar, which is produced by "Isezushi (伊勢鮨)", a Michelin sushi bar in Otaru!
*If you're interested in "Isezushi (伊勢鮨)", please refer to my other post→

This is a standing sushi bar, serving delicious sushi at reasonable prices!

See?? Unbelievably cheap!

Voila!
I ordered today's special! This set is only 1,500 yen!!! How lucky I am!
July is one of the best months to eat scallops, sea bream (caught off Otaru), Sakhalin surf clam (caught off Tomakomai), and sea urchin (caught off Otaru)!

I additionally ordered two pieces of sea urchin sushi! Hahaha! I really love local products!
