Menmen （めんめん）| Japanese Vermicelli Restaurant | Iwamizawa

Have you ever heard or tried somen noodles or Japanese vermicelli? They are made of flour, and very common noodles especially during the summer time. Usually dried somen are used, but today I'll show you "Menmen （めんめん）", a somen restaurant, using fresh noodles, which are much much more delicious than dried ones. Sounds yummy x 2, doesn't it?

They serve cold and hot somen, and some other dishes such as a chicken bowl, ramen noodles and so on........

I ordered a chicken bowl and cold somen "first"!

I love this half-cooked egg! Yummy x 2!!

This is a cold somen. I'm sure this is a king of somen! The fresh noodles are very elastic & chewy like udon noodles, and unbelievably delicious!!! Please try it!!!

This poster says they use special chicken for the soup and excellent brand flour for somen. Well, well, well, the wheat for the noodles are produced in this area!!! I love something local!

I ordered hot ones, too! Hahaha!

Usually I prefer cold noodles because cold ones are more springy, but their hot somen are very recommendable!!! 

Can I have another helping? Just kidding! (←You ate too much!!!)

DxM | Morihiko's Doughnut Cafe | Sapporo

Morihiko is one of the famous coffee roasters and cafe designers in Sapporo. I visited "DxM", one of his cafes located near Sapporo Factory, specializing doughnuts and coffee.

Everything here is cool! Open the first door, and you will find this menu.

And then open the second door, the fireplace will welcome you! I love this atmosphere!!

What should I order??? Their doughnuts are so delicious that whenever I visit Sapporo Factory (a shopping mall near this cafe), I drop by "DxM".

Let's go upstairs.
There is a looooooooong counter seats like this, and even when you come here alone, you can enjoy the meal comfortably! Time moves very slowly here!

I really recommend their coffee!!
However I cannot drink it, and ordered one of the soup! Sorry I cannot show you their delicious coffee!!!

Have you ever eaten rhubarb?
Rhubarb is a cool season, perennial vegetable, grown for its leafstalks that have a unique tangy taste used for pies and sauces.

Do you smoke?
Don't worry about it. Its smoking room is also fashionable!!

As there are no chatty high school students nor housewives in this cafe, we can spend comfortable time eating delicious doughnuts while drinking tasty coffee here!

I should buy some doughnuts for my family members!

This is OPERA, a chocolate doughnut. It's really recommendable!!!

This is CASABLANCA, a berry doughnut! They use three kinds of berries for the doughnut!!

We can buy their doughnuts at Maruiimai department store, too! When you come to Odori area, please try some of them!

AGT2 cafe Hibino （あじと2 カフェ日びの）| Rice Cafe | Sapporo

Today I'll show you one of my favorite cafes, "AGT2 cafe Hibino （あじと2 カフェ日びの）", located near Toyohira River, Sapporo.

This is a rice cafe run by a rice store, featuring delicious rice and healthy ingredients. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it?? Let's enter it!

There is a cute rice shop on the 1st floor, but it is NOT a normal shop.

Look at the carefully-selected rice↓ Each delicious rice bag has the producer's name and picture.

Fashionable chopsticks are sold here, too! Actually I bought two pairs of them!

Well, well, well, let's go upstairs!

I love this atmosphere!!! Very cozy cafe, isn't it?

Ornaments in this space are very fashionable!!!

Long counter seats are perfect for single dinners!

Are you interested in their healthy lunch menu?
Personally I recommend their grilled risotto. As it contains a lot of beans, we can take in sufficient vitamin B1, B2, dietary fibers, iron, and calcium from the dish.

How about today's specials? They use several types of fish containing DHA, a healty fish oil.

Desserts are very cute and appetizing! Surprisingly, they use rice or grains for the desserts, too! Wow!

Everything here is my favorite. For example, this chopstick case and hand towel holder are very cute!

This is today's special. We can have free refills on rice and miso soup. I love this wonderful system! Of course, I enjoyed two kinds of brown rice today! Hahaha!

This is "fermented brown rice".
As selected brown rice is fermented, it is easily digested. The rice is cooked with azuki beans and salt. Sounds very healthy, doesn't it?

This is "DX Asunaro brown rice".
Small brown rice is mixed with the original stock of brown rice. The blended rice is cooked with kelp seaweed and salt, and we can enjoyed the different texture at the same time. Yummy x 2!!

This is the main dish♪
Saury and vegetables are grilled with cheese! Very healthy and delicious!!!

I like this broccoli named "Romanesco". See?! This cafe is very recommendable!

I chose this home-made ginger ale. It tastes very ginger and not too sweet! Hahaha!

My choice for dessert is this↓
Do you have any idea what the brown and purple dots on the milk pudding?

They are 15 kinds of grains! 

As the dessert is not too sweet, it can be loved by everybody!

Time runs very slowly here! 

They are also eco-friendly. No extra paper is prepared here. Look at this↓ They prepare small towels in the bathroom.

I really love this cafe!

Hairy Crab; 1,980→1,000 yen | Hokuren Shop Green Court （ホクレンショップクリーンコート）| Sapporo

I like depachika (a basement of a department store where foodstuffs are usually sold) especially in the evening, because they have a price war!
Actually I visited "Hokuren Shop Green Court （ホクレンショップグリーンコート）, a supermarket in ESTA, a shopping mall adjacent to JR Sapporo station, at around 6 o'clock yesterday.

Look at the price tag! It was supposed to be 1,980 yen, but finally..............

↓
↓
It became 1,000 yen only!

I love hairy crabs very much! Yummy x 2!!

I really recommend you to go to depachika in the evening, one or two hours before their closing time!
