Sapporo Ramen Kyowakoku (Republic) (札幌ら~めん共和国)| Ramen Theme Park in Sapporo

The "Sapporo Ramen Kyowakoku (Republic)", a theme park on the 10th floor of the ESTA commercial complex located next to the JR Sapporo Station, is home to Hokkaido's most famous ramen shops, providing ramen lovers with the opportunity to enjoy delicious ramen at a variety of shops.

The theme park consists of eight famous ramen shops, focused on Hokkaido's four great ramen area; Sapporo, Asahikawa, Hakodate, and Kushiro.
The shops are regularly changed so that we can enjoy as many popular ramen shops as possible!

An early postwar Sapporo town has been reproduced to create a retro atmosphere, with a steam locomotive, wooden station building, shrines, and so on.

Since its opening in 2004, many tourists and local people have visited the theme park to Enjoy Hokkaido's famous ramen!

First, we entered "Baikouken", one of the famous Asahikawa ramen shops!

We ordered a miso ramen.

They use chicken, pork and fish to make the broth, which really suits curly ramen noodles! I definitely recommend it!

Next, we went to "Ajisai", one of the famous Hakodate ramen shops.

It is famous for shio (salt-flavor) ramen, but

we wanted to eat something special and ordered "tsuke-men", ramen noodles dipped in the soup.

They have some original seasonings such as special chili oil/ powder, and pepper.

Here comes "tsuke-men"! The noodles and soup are served separately like this!

I ordered cold noodles and

hot soup!

The soup contains pork, naganegi onion, and

and some soft menma (bamboo shoot)!

This is fish powder and you can adjust the soup flavor with it if you want!

The Republic holds the "Summer Noodle Fair" until the 19th of August and we also tried a summerlike ramen!

Then we went to "Shirakaba-Sansou", one of the popular Sapporo ramen shops.

This ramen shop reminds me of this free boiled eggs. You can eat it before or with ramen!

Here comes a "bukkake ramen", cold noodles which is topped with grated daikon radish and something sticky to eat; raw egg, deep-fried Chinese yam, some okra, nameko and enoki mushrooms etc.

I love cold noodles in the summer time!

This deep-fried grated yam is very recommendable! It's very crispy outside, and very soft inside!

The other ramen shops in the Ramen Kyowakoku as of 2011/07/03 are.............
"Daishin", a Sapporo ramen shop,

"Sora", a Sapporo ramen shop,

"Nishiya", a Monbetsu ramen shop (in the Okhotsk area),

"Keyaki", a Sapporo ramen shop,

and "Keisuke", a Tokyo ramen shop.

There are so many ramen shops on the same floor that you must find your favorite one among them!

After eating, you can enjoy a souvenir shop in the same compound!

The shops in the Ramen Kyowakoku have mini-ramen service so that you can enjoy/ compare several ramens at different shops!

Organic Soup Colombo (オーガニックスープ コロンボ)| Soup Restaurant | Sapporo

This is one of my favorite restaurants, "Organic Soup Colombo" near JR Sapporo Station. The owner selects organic ingredients, including vegetables, bread, butter, and so on. Sounds very healthy, doesn't it?

The restaurant is in the Sapporo International Building, which holds "Thanks Fair" until the 10th of July, and you can get a 50 yen discount coupon at each shop here! How lucky we are♪

This restaurant has a lot of set menus, all of which include delicious soup from standard to seasonal limited one!

This is the soup menu and they usually serve 6 or 7 kinds of soup like this↓ I recommend cold soup in the summer time!

The bagels are also recommendable!

I like this atmosphere. It is not a big, but very cozy restaurant!

Here comes the salad set!

Look at the salad! Organic vegetables and pork (which contains a lot of Vitamin C) are a perfect combination in the summer time! We can get energy from the salad!

I chose the "cold spinach soup"! It's very delicious and healthy, containing a lot of Vitamin A, B, C and other minerals! As it is a hot day today, I really love this cold soup!

The bread and butter is also organic! You can choose rice or bread, but I recommend bread here!

The set includes a small dessert, too.

This is a hamburger steak set.

The sunny-side up really suits the hamburger steak!

The soup served here are depending on the season and they switch the menu every week.
Look at some of the examples! All of them are delicious!

You can take out any soup! If it's cold, you can drink it like juice, while walking on the street!

Naganuma Aisu-no-Ie(長沼あいすの家)| Ice Cream Shop in Kuriyama

Kuriyama, 40 mins away from Sapporo, is blessed with the nature. It has also a famous sake brewery, several museums, camping sites and so on.

Today I'll show you one of the famous ice cream shops, "Naganuma Aisu-no-Ie" (which means an ice cream shop in Naganuma), in the town. This ice cream shop is so famous that there are several branches in Hokkaido.

They serve not only ice cream, but also crapes!

It is always packed with customers because the ice cream is delicious and the shop is adjacent to a big park!

Today, we chose chocolate soft ice cream!

Oops! I ate it before taking a pic..........

We also ordered this season limited soft ice cream!

Strawberry ice cream is one of my favorite ice cream! This area is famous for strawberries and they use the local products!

The ice cream stand is adjacent to the Kuriyama park, which is famous for cherry blossoms in the spring time, when a lot of people enjoy the pink flowers here!

The park has a lot of attractions.

It has a small zoo (free of charge!).

Look at the steam locomotive! Kids can play with this real train!

I like the Yubari river near the park. The town is blessed with the great nature!
