Higashichitose BBQ (東千歳バーベキュー)| Chicken BBQ Restaurant | Chitose

Hokkaido has a lot of unique restaurants! How about "Higashichitose BBQ (東千歳バーベキュー)" located near New Chitose Airport?

This cow shed-like restaurant is at the edge of Chitose city, but..................

Look at the looooooooooooooong queue!!! This is an unbelievably popular BBQ restaurant!!

Famous TV stars come here all the way from Tokyo, and TV programs sometimes feature this restaurant!

We waited for about one hour outside of the building, and entered it.
Look at the inside filled with smoke!!!!! This is like a site of "mass murder with coal briquette conducted by a cult"! Hahaha!
We continued crying and crying with smoke!!!!

They serve chicken only. So BBQ on the board means chicken BBQ! If you want to drink something, please serve yourself here! Interesting system, isn't it???

Cheers! We enjoyed non-alcohol beer first!

It's show time!!
One portion is consist of two chunks of chicken meat (a half body of chicken).

The restaurant staff seasons the meat with "secret" salt and pepper!

Then we grill it over charcoal!

Looks very yummy x 2!!!

Their stir-fried vegetables are also recommendable!!! It looks delicious, but.............

as they use special seasonings and oil, stir-fry it until slightly brown!! Yummy x 2!!!

I like this aluminum dish, which is very nostalgic!!!!

Why is their chicken so delicious? Do they use slightly-marinated meat or special charcoal?? Nobody knows! This is a restaurant secret!

When you come here, please consider the waiting time, too!
As the restaurant is filled with smoke, I recommend you to wear casual clothes! I love their super-delicious chicken!!!

Mifune (かしわ専門 三船)| Grilled Chicken Restaurant | Iwamizawa

"Mifune (三船)" is in front of JR Iwamizawa Station, 30 minutes away from Sapporo by tarin, serving one of the most delicious yakitori or grilled chicken in Hokkaido, even though it doesn't look like.......... (Sorry!)
Actually it's easy to pass or miss this place if they don't generate yakitori smoke! Hahaha!

This is a very popular izakaya restaurant, and always packed with yakitori lovers. Please make a reservation in advance if you want to come here at around 6:00 - 21:00. Surprisingly someone is always here even at around 15:00! Unbelievable!!!

Here come yakitori (chicken guts version)! When you come here, please enjoy their delicious chicken guts! We can enjoy various parts of chicken here. This is a chicken specialty izakaya!
Their seasoning is not complicated. They use salt, pepper and "secret power", which makes their yakitori special!! The chicken is so fresh that there's no bad smell in the guts.

Their chicken meat yakitori is also popular, and usually each person can eat more than 20 yakitori pieces. You may not believe me now, but once you come and eat their yakitori,  you will easily understand it! Their yakitori is very tasty!

This is chicken gut stew, one of the most popular items in this izakaya!

We can enjoy chicken guts such as its liver, intestine, egg, and a lot of vegetables!

We (probably 90% of their regular patrons) order this soba at the end. We put chicken guts in the soup! Yummy x2!!!

If you want to try deicious chicken guts, I really recommend this izakaya!

BISTROT PETITE REGION (ビストロプティットレジョン)| Sapporo

"BISTROT PETITE REGION (ビストロプティットレジョン)" is a cozy and fashionable bistro located near Kikusui (菊水)subway station.

I'm sure ladies and couples like this homey and cute atmosphere!

Their lunch sets are very reasonable, and we can choose an appetizer, a main, and a dessert among several choices. I love this bistro!

*Their dinner course is only 3,000 yen! Unbelievable!!

Everything including the bottle is very lovely

I really recommend this home-made bread! Actually I ate four pieces of it! Hahaha!

We choose "cold cauliflower soup" as an appetizer. The natural sweetness of the vegetable is very yummy!

My friend chose "chicken satay" as a main dish. It's very bountiful and appetizing!

Look at the spencer roll steak!

I put a lot of mustard with this medium-rare steak! Yummy x 2!

Last but not least, we enjoyed "Blanc Manger". The berry sauce really suits with this white dessert

Please open your mouth! Hahaha!

Soup Curry Cayenne (スープカリィ カイエン)| Soup Curry Restaurant | Sapporo

"Soup curry" is a soup type curry, which is one of the local cuisines in Sapporo. As each restaurant has each recipe, we can enjoy many types of curry, ingredients, and broth here in Sapporo. Would you like to go around all restaurants? Actually, I'm trying to! Hahaha!

Today I'll show you "Soup Curry Cayenne (スープカリィ カイエン)", which is located near Sapporo Dome and Hitsugigaoka Observation Hill.

It has been renovated recently.

What I like this restaurant is we can choose the types of broth, degrees of hotness, and ingredients & toppings for curry. Yes, we can enjoy soup curry customized depending on your taste!

This is the broth list↓ Typical soup curry restaurants serve only one kind of broth, while they prepare nine kinds of broth all the time!!! Amazing!!!!

Toppings can be chosen not only among several regular ones but also among today's specials such as huge maitake mushroom, w cheese, opened gumbo tempura, big clam, whey pork, and lamb loin steak. Sounds wonderful!!!!

How about monthly curry??
They serve Wagyu beef (Japanese Black) curry this month! Yummy x 2!!

The master said, "If you cannot eat up the meat, you can take it out. Don't worry about it!"
I said, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure I can eat it up!"
I was so excited when I imagined such big meat would be served for me!!!

Here comes the rice first!
They serve many kinds of curry such as chicken vegetable, pork, stewed pork, beef, seafood and so on. What I chose today is..............

Finally, I chose autumn soup (onion base with coconut milk and fish broth), Nanbu chicken (very juicy brand chicken raised with additive-free feed) and vegetables.
How gorgeous it is!!!

Opened gumbo tempura is added for additional topping! Yummy x 2!!!

Look at the ingredients in the soup!
My soup curry is well-balanced! Broccoli, cloud ear mushroom, lotus root, potato, gumbo, enoki mushroom, egg, cabbage, potherb mustard, paprika and so on................

How HUGE the Nanbu chicken is!!
(Now I understand what the master said means!!!)
The additional dish was prepared for the chicken. I cut it into small pieces,

soaked it into the delicious soup, and enjoyed it! The brand chicken was very juicy and tasty!!!

The autumn soup (onion base with coconut milk and fish broth) tastes very rich and well-seasoned although the soup is not actually fatty. I love it!

After eating the delicious curry, I drew a lottery on the iPad at the restaurant and got the third prize (discount ticket for the next time). Luck me!

What should I eat when I come here next time??? They have wide variety of curry, ingredients, broth, and toppings!
You know what? The most reasonable curry here is only 500 yen
Wow! Wow! Wow! I love this restaurant very much!

Kinchan (欽ちゃん)| Horumon (Pork Guts) BBQ Restaurant | Sapporo

Today's my post is of the meat lovers, by the meat lovers, for the meat lovers! Hahaha!
If you want to enjoy BBQ at reasonable prices, I recommend "Kinchan (欽ちゃん)" near Tanuki koji 1 chome.

The izakaya is on the second floor! Let's go!!

Surprisingly, we have arrived here as the first costumers today! Lucky us! Usually after 6 o'clock a lot of horumon (pork guts) lovers flock to this popular BBQ restaurant!

Look at the menu! They are sooooooooooooooooooooo reasonable!!!!

Have you ever heard kettle sake? This is sake in a kettle heated up on a charcoal stove after eating up meat and vegetables. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?

They serve some unbelievably special pricing set menus, one of which includes three kinds of meat, a very large portion of cabbage, rice ball, and miso soup. Do you have any idea how much the set is?



A. It is only 1,380 yen! You must try it!!!

This is a message from the owner.

He said, "When he was a child, his father took him to a horumon BBQ restaurant in a mining town. As he grown up, he has never ever forgotten the wonderful taste and opened this izakaya.........."

■"Coal pit" horumon, or intestine
They use very fresh pork intestines and use special miso-based sauce.

Very juicy, delicious and inexpensive!!! How much is it? It is 290 yen only! Wow!

■Vegetable set (380 yen)
I also recommend okra for BBQ! Please try it!

■Heart and tongue set (400 yen)

I love this texture! Yummy x 2!! The marinated meat here are so delicious that we could drink like a fish♪

Don't forget their dumplings (480 yen), which are very appetizing!!!

Dipping sauce can be arranged by ourselves. We can mix their original sauce with red chili paste, garlic, and sesame.

■Beef ribs (600 yen)

They serve not only pork horumon but also lamb, chicken, beef, and "normal parts" of pork. The charcoal enhances the meat flavor and we cannot stop eating and drinking!

The cucumbers (280 yen) refreshes our month!

■Marucho or "inside-out pork intestines" (580 yen)
This is my favorite part. Pork intestines are turned inside out and cut them into chunks so that we can enjoy the juicy part fully!

See??? It looks wonderful, doesn't it? Yummy x 2!!!

■Yam (200 yen)
The izakaya serves a special local soy sauce named "shijimi say sauce" with yams, which is a little bit sweeter than normal soy sauce.

When yams are grilled, they become nice and soft

This is chochu and soda. I love yuzu cytrus flavor!

■Pork liver wrapped with crepine (380 yen)
This is perfect because I love both livers and crepine!!

Fire!!!!

Their pickles (380 yen) are also recommendable! We enjoyed this very homemade taste!

When we come here, we always eat ramen (290 yen) in closing!

Pan is placed on the charcoal stove and ramen noodles are warmed in the hot water!

Dip the noodles in the samen soup! Fantastic!

I really recommend this delicious and reasonable horumon izakara!!!!
