Farm Restaurant Chiyoda (ファームレストラン千代田)| Biei Beef Restaurant | Biei

Would you like to eat delicious beef stew like this?

"Farm Restaurant Chiyoda" is a very popular beef restaurant in Biei.

Just for reference, the scenery in the winter time is like this↓

Please make a reservation in advance because it is always packed with beef lovers like this↓

They use "Biei Beef", a brand beef. Here are menues↓ All of them are delicious beef dishes♪

"Biei Beef" is very tender and tasty because its feed grains is mixed with sake cake, whose barm energizes bacteria activities and the beef cattle absorb a lot of amino acid in their body! Sounds very yummy!!

We ordered a beef stew set, the most popular item in the restaurant.

Look at the salad. It looks normal, but the vegetables in Biei are very delicious!! The soil here is very fertile and its agricultural products taste very rich! All of my tour guests were impressed with this salad before eating main dish! Hahahaha!

This is pumpkin potage. Of course this pumpkin is a local product. When you come to Biei, please appreciate pumpkins and potatoes produced in Biei. Taste very different!!

Voila!!!!
This is my favorite beef stew!!!

The beef is very tender and we didn't have to use knife to cut it! The fat is naturally sweet!!! Please open your mouth, and enjoy this beef stew!!

After enjoying the lunch, we enjoyed "Fureai Bokujyo" (animal farm) in front of the restaurant.

They keep several kinds of animals like this↓

First, we bought the food for the animals and enjoyed feeding them.
This is a peacock.

They are silky fowls. Actually we ate ramen with silky fowl broth  at "saijyo", a famous ramen restaurant, in "Asahikwa Ramen Village" in the previous day, and all of us felt some guilty...... :-(

(If you are interested in Asahikawa Ramen Village (ramen complex), please refer to my previous post→click!)

The ponies are very cute!!

They are Jersey, whose milk is very delicious!!!

They are walking steak!! Just kidding :-)

It's like scenery in New Zealand, isn't it? Hokkaido is very spacious!!

We really enjoyed Biei!

Farm Kanno (かんのファーム)| Flower Garden | Biei

Farm Kanno is located about 2km away from JR Bibaushi station, and totally 100 kinds of flowers can be seen in the hilly farm during the flower season.
It's like a HUGE flower rainbow on the ground!!

We enjoyed the perfect weather and perfect farm :-)

Lavenders can be seen form July until the early August and other flowers from the mid-June until October, depending on the year, of course.
You can enjoy the surrounding scenic beauty such as the Tokachi Mountain Range from this farm! Beautiful, isn't it???

It is packed with comfortable lavender fragrance!! I was so HAPPY with my tour guests from Germany!!

A lot of people took pics with the beautiful lavenders like this↓

How about red salvia??? We enjoyed the contrast of red, white, yellow, and blue flowers here.

I love this atmosphere! There's nothing but the flowers and hill!!!

You can see herbs like lemon balms like this↓

This colorful flower farm is on Route 237 and you cannot miss it! If you drive from Asahikawa area to Biei, you can find this farm first along this road.

It has no opening or closing hours. It is free to walk in and around the farm at any time.

Look at the Bassia scoparia!! I love it! SOOOO CUTE! The plants are like anime characters :-)

Blue salvia is also beautiful and wonderful! I love their flower selection!

Would you like to enjoy flowers in Hokkaido?
(Sure!!!)

It takes only 15 mins from the nearest JR station (Bibaushi station) to this farm on foot.

If you are interested in other major flower gardens (farms) in this area, please refer to my previous posts:

Shikisai-no-Oka (四季彩の丘)| Biei in Mid-July

The panoramic flower garden of Shikisai-no-Oka (the Hill of Seasonal Colors) provides spectacular views across seven hectares of land on Oka-no-Machi (hilly town) Biei. It is a paradise of seasonal blossoms from spring through to fall, in which several dozen different species of flowers and grasses flourish.

This is a mascot of the garden named Roll-kun (Little Boy Roll).

And this is Roll-chan (Little Girl Roll)♪ How cute they are! They are in front of the entrance building of this flower garden.

You can take a tractor bus or a cart (for four persons) or a buggy (for one person) in the 7-ha flower garden.

But we preferred to walk along this garden yesterday.
Let me show you the flowers in the mid-July! This is one of the best season to see the flowers here!!!

■Pansy

■Dianthus
The name Dianthus is from the Greek words dios (god) and anthos (flower).

■Gotetia
It is an annual plant growing to 1m tall.

The flowers are on the hillside and you can enjoy the flower rainbow!

■Marygold

■Campanula
I like this light purple flower!!

■Salvia
Salvia is the largest genus of plants in the mint family!

Flowers in July are very beautiful, aren't they?? The combination of several colors is perfect!

■Lupine
Lupine is a genus in the legume family!

■California poppy

■Cosmos

■Sunflower
Sunflowers remind me of Hokkaido!

■Snapdragon
Now is the best timing to see the colorful flowers in Hokkaido! I love snapdragons in this season!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! How beautiful the flowers are!!!

Look at this color combination! We thought as if we were in the dream world!

Loooooooooooooong flower lines!!!

It's like a flower carpet!

■Celosia
This is commonly known as a woolflower.

■Lavender
We can enjoy lavenders until the end of August!

■Petunia
This flower is a widely cultivated genus of flowering plants of South Amerian origin.

We really enjoyed the beautiful garden!!

Would you like to come here? (Yes, sure!!!) It takes about three and 1/2 hours from Sapporo by car. Or you can walk from the nearest JR station to "Shikisai-no-Oka". It takes about 30 minutes from Bibaushi station to this garden on foot!

After enjoying flowers, we went to a shop at the entrance building!

In July, you can enjoy melons and cherries grown in Biei!

If you like ice cream, I recommend pumpkin or azuki bean ice cream. All of the ingredients including milk are produced in Biei! Biei is such a great agricultural town♪

We really enjoyed this pumpkin ice cream :-) Very rich and very pumpkin!!!! I really recommend it!

The flower combination is different depending on the season. This is a pic taken in the late May↓
If you are interested in the garden in the late May, please refer to my previous post→click!

Entering the park garden itself is free - although if you're kind enough, they'd be happy if you donate 200 yen.
