Chocolate Factory (白い恋人パーク)| Amusement Facility | Sapporo

Chocolate Factory (白い恋人パーク) is not a normal factory, but a fantastic space with a toy exhibition room, the Rose Garden, a coke buffet to allow visitors to savor Ishiya's original sweets, and the Cookiecraft Studio where budding confectioners can make their own Shiroi Koibito cookies. The things visitors see, taste, and experience here will make for truly "sweet" memories of their trip!

Let's go!

In front of the facility, there is the Rose Garden where we can enjoy beautiful seasonable flowers such as tulips in the spring time, and right now....................

Voila!
Roses are in full bloom!!!

How beautiful the garden is!

Can you believe that you do NOT have to pay any admission fee to see the beautiful flowers??

I love this space!!

Shall we go to the museum section?
In the Hot Chocolate Cup Room, the collection showcases treasured chocolate cups that are no longer produced!

"All-floral motif" made by Meissen is the most expensive cup in this room, which is as expensive as a gorgeous car!

I love the chocolate boxes and packages, too!

When you come here, please learn how to make chocolate with fun attractions like this↓

How lovely the wall of the assembly line is!

Would you like to make original cookies? In the Cookiecraft Studio, visitors can make confections including their own design of heart-shaped Shiroi Koibito cookies!!!

When you feel hungry, how about taking a rest at the cafe?

Everything here look delicious! What should we order??? Hahaha!

We ordered.........

this delicious hot chocolate! Yummy x 2!!!

On the first floor, of course we can buy their original sweets such as Shiroi Koibito cookies.
*Shiroi Koibito (白い恋人) means white lovers in Japanese.

Recently the Candy Labo was opened and

we can enjoy freshly-made candies here!

Last, but not least, I really recommend their soft ice cream!!

They serve vanilla, chocolate, mix, and...............

Shiroi Koibito soft ice cream, which includes white chocolate, the same ingredient of Shiroi Koibito cookies! This is super-delicious!

In the compound, there are several kids houses,

a locomotive running around the facility,

a gingerbread house, a candy cottage,

tree house, and

some other attractions like this. This facility is like a fairyland!

Just for reference, the facility in the winter time is also very attractive↓

Especially during the Christmas season,

we can enjoy the beautiful illumination like this↓

Panorama Road (パノラマロード)| Biei

Biei (美瑛)is a small town surrounded by a picturesque landscape of gently rolling hills and vast fields. A pleasant way to enjoy the charm of Biei is by cycling or driving through the hills and visiting some of the flower fields and famous trees along the way. The area northweat of the town center is named the "Patchwork Road" and the area sourth of the town center the "Panorama Road".

After enjoying the "Patchwork Road (パッチワークロード)",
* If you are interested in the the "Patchwork Road", please refer to my other post→.

we moved from JR Biei Station (JR美瑛駅) to JR Bibaushi Station (JR美馬牛駅) to head for the "Panorama Road (パノラマロード)".

If you want to rent a mountain bike, please visit "guide-no-Yamagoya (ガイドの山小屋)" just in front of the station.

It is 200 yen/hr or 1,200 yen/day. Very reasonable, isn't it?

First, we visited Bibaushi Elementary School (美馬牛小学校).

This triangle roof is loved by a lot of people including Shinzo Maeda (前田 真三), a world famous landscape photographer, who uses this school as an object in his art works.

We headed for his photo gallery!

Through this birch forest road...............

Voila!
How beautiful the Tokachidake mountain range!!!

We were so impressed with the "Panorama Road"!!!

As we used a mountain bike, it was very easy to stop and take pictures of our favorite objects like this!

We arrived at the entrance of his photo gallery.

Located near a birch forest, Takushinkan (拓真館), his photo gallery, displays about 80 art works.

Visitors are not allowed to take his pics in his gallery, and I borrowed some of his works from his website.

* If you want to know the details, please refer to my other post→

We headed for the third destination, using the same road.

Although we used the same road, the scenery looked different. It seems the landscape changes every minute!

Next, we visited "Shikisai-no-Oka (四季彩の丘)", a flower park.

We enjoyed outstanding panoramic views of the Daisetsuzan mountain range as well as seven hectrares of pristine flowerbeds.

* If you want to know the details, please refer to my other post→

Last but not least, we visited "Shinei-no-Oka (新栄の丘)" a view park.

This park is known as a popular place for watching sunsets.

See?? It is very beautiful!!

We fully enjoyed this hilly wonderful town today!

When you find the triangle roof, JR Bibaushi Station (JR美馬牛駅) is just around the corner!

How do you like the "Panorama Road (パノラマロード)"?

I'll be back in July again with my tour guests!
